Clarence Gaw, Jr.

Clarence Edgar Gaw, Jr., 71, of Colcord, Okla., died Nov. 4, 2011, at his home.

He was born Jan. 20, 1940, in Harrison, to Clarence Edgar Gaw, Sr., and Ruby Sue Lewallen Gaw. He served in the U.S. Navy for two years and was stationed in Jacksonville, Fla., Sicily and Puerto Rico. He retired from La-Z-Boy after 29 1/2 years of employment. On April 16, 1976, he married Shirley Harrison. He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in West Siloam Springs, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Shirley of the home; one brother, John Gaw and wife Joyce of Gentry; one sister, Evelyn McGee of Gentry; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmie and Sharon Harrison of Moseley, Okla., and Danny and Ella Harrison of Moseley, and Terry Harrison of Pryor, Okla.

Funeral services were Nov. 7 at Bethel Methodist Church, West Siloam Springs, Okla., with Darrell Maddox officiating. Burial followed at Bell Cemetery, Adair County, Okla. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Helen Soderholm

Helen Louise Trainor Soderholm, 79, of Gravette, died Nov. 6, 2011, at Circle of Life Legacy Village in Bentonville.

She was born Feb. 4, 1932, in Chicago, Ill., to George James and Stella Evalena Cochenour Trainor. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Soderholm; a daughter, Debra Hart; two brothers, Robert James Trainor and Kenneth Eugene Trainor.

She is survived by two daughters, Robin Wise of Springdale and Angel Gaines and her husband Doyle of Gravette; two sisters, Nancy McPhersen of Kenosha, Wis., and Cheryl Lynn Proctor of Sulphur Springs; six grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel in Bentonville, with CJ Malone officiating. Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home.

Myrl Smith

Myrl F. Smith, 84, of Gentry, died Oct. 29, 2011, in Bentonville.

She was born Nov. 28, 1926, in Decatur, to Maggie and Andrew McClellan. She and her husbandraised chickens and operated a dairy farm.

She was preceded in death by six siblings, Ruby, Irene, Olga, Clifford, Troy and her twin brother Earl.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Loyd D. Smith of Gentry; two sons, Michael Gary Smith of Maysville and David Earl Smith and his wife Donna of Little Rock; and two grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Nov. 1, at Dickson Cemetery in Cherokee City, with Cotton Presley officiating. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Rosetta Westbrook

Rosetta Westbrook, 65, of Decatur, died Oct. 28, 2011.

She was born Sept. 10, 1946, in Modesto, Calif., to Luther Harris and Rosella Stapp Harris. She was united in marriage to James Westbrook on June4, 1966, in Dennison, Tex. In 1981, the family moved to the Decatur area. She was a member of the Gravette congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Marvin Harris and one sister, Juanita Cunningham.

She is survived by her husband, James Westbrook; three sons, Michael Westbrook, Steven Westbrook and Jason Westbrook; two daughters, Lisa Tunnel and Rachel Westbrook; brothers, Frank Harris, Wayne Harris, Don Lee Harris, Davey Harris, Richard Harris and James Harris; one sister, Wilma Garrett; 11 grandchildren;and one great-grandson.

Memorial services were Nov. 5, 2011, at the Gravette congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Arrangements were by Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers.
