Looks like most of the trees have lost their leaves. There will probably be a lot of leaf mowing going on.

Maysville E.H. Club members, remember this Thursday is club day. We only have an afternoon business meeting starting at 1 p.m. The holiday is the reason for the afternoon meeting.

Wednesday Jack and Sylvia Tucker met Jean and Dale Anglin, Nema Snyder, Shirley and Bob Slaughter and Patti King at Lin’s Garden to eat lunch, then they all went to Bob and Shirley Slaughter’s home to visit.

My nephew Clarence Vandiver and wife Becky of Bentonville visited me on Friday. I sure was glad for them to come by. I always enjoy their visits.

Friday my sister-in-law Janis Vandiver of Bentonville and sister Frances Sims of Bentonville came after me and we met our brother Jim Vandiver of Broken Arrow, Okla., and friend Darlene, sister and brother-in-law Jim and Marie Crawford of Decatur atLocust Grove, Okla., to eat. Our brother decided it was time we got together again and we enjoyed it.

The community Thanksgiving dinner at the community building was well attended Saturday evening. That is sponsored each year by the Maysville E. H. Club. We are always glad for everyone to come out for this occasion. We had plenty of good food and everyone enjoys the fellowship along with it.

Sunday evening, November 20, will be the annual community Thanksgiving worship service at the Maysville Bible Church. The other two churches will take part with singing by different groups and a message.

Bob and Shirley Slaughter of Rogers and Nema Snyder came to Jack and Sylvia Tucker’s on Saturday morning for a short visit. Nema Snyder has returned home to Bartlesville, Okla., and Jean and Dale Anglin have returned home to Orange, Calif. They had been here for two weeks and enjoyed visiting with family members.
