Police respond to rollover accident

— Police worked a one-vehicle rollover accident on Oct. 25 which led to the driver being cited on numerous charges.

Gentry police were called to an accident just before noon when passing motorists saw a red Jeep Cherokee on its top in the ditch and the driver crawling out to the roadway for help, police reports state.

According to the report, Michael Alverson, 31, of Decatur, was the sole occupant of the Jeep and was injured in the accident and transported by ambulance to Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville. The accident occurred at 21721 Arkansas Highway 12 West.

He was cited for careless and prohibitive driving, driving on a suspended driver’s license and not having proof of insurance, the police report states.
