The children of Mr. and Mrs. Josh Greer, along with their friend Trinity Burnett, were credited with saving the life of an elderly lady who had fallen in her yard near Decatur.

— An elderly lady, whose home is off Bethlehem Road northeast of Decatur, may owe her life to three children who were playing in the yard of her neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Josh Greer.

Paige Greer, age 6, her brother Peyton, age 4, and a friend, Trinity Burnett, age 6, daughter of Josh and Melissa Burnett, heard the call for help from the neighbor lady who had fallen in her yard.

The children rushed to tell the Greers and Mr. Greer was able to help the lady back into her home.

“The lady had fallen several hours earlier and had been unable to getup when she heard the children and called for help,” Greer said.

“It was after dark and the children’s quick action can be credited with saving her life.”
