GRAVETTE — Dick Dale, who was known as “King of the Surf Guitar” in the 1960s, and his wife Lana visited in Gravette recently in the home of Jack and Susan Reeves and their sons Matt and Cole.

Reeves said, “Dale was inmany of the ‘surfing’ movies that starred Annette Funicello.” He had been on tour and performed on the recently released album by Arkansas’ Glenn Campbell. The couple were enroute to their home in 29 Palms, Calif.

During the Gravette visit, the group all enjoyed a meal at the Hard Luck Cafe.
