It looks like Bella Vista is determined to “swallow” us up regardless of our wants and wishes. Hiwasse residents, be sureyou are registered and get out and vote when the election comes up.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Phil Wilmoth who recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. Mary Ann is a former Hiwasse girl.

Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier and I had lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier and Lamarise on Sunday.

Sherry Hepler is in LittleRock this week helping Tami Presley.

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Henry, Maxine Holloway and Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier were in Bella Vista Sunday night for an early Thanksgiving dinner with Donnely Swatzell and family.

It was good to see Ruby Hight able to be in church on Sunday.

Larry Keith is among oursick this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Weihe have had their daughter Kammie, her husband and two sons visiting with them for a few days.

The Pilgrims learned from the local Native Americans that the tart red berries growing in bogs and beside the ocean were eminently edible. Thus the cranberry became a traditional holiday dish.
