MAYSVILLE NEWS

Sunday was a cool, dreary day. The weatherman said we might get some storms and heavy rain. We don’t want the floods but rain would be welcome.

There were nine Maysville E. H. Club members who attended fall council at the Community Church in Bella Vista on Friday. There was a good program and lots of good food. Our club got some awards. Those attending were Gwen Singleton, Berti Ray, Bert Ballmann, MaryStewart, Katherine and Sylvia Tucker, Nikki and Jewel Crawley and Melinda Crawley and three guests, Brittany, Jessica and Tabitha Crawley. It was an enjoyable day.

Clifton Tucker came by a couple of times this past week when he was in the vicinity. I guess I will be going to their house at Bella Vista for Thanksgiving.

Those visiting Jack and Sylvia Tucker Sunday afternoon were Patti King of Lowell and her twin granddaughters, Lauren and Abby Sappington of Lowell.Their parents are Justin and Valerie Sappington.

The Summerfield and Hunter families had their Thanksgiving dinner at the Maysville community building Saturday. They report a good attendance and lots of good food as always.

The Maysville Fire Department had their chili supper and pie auction on Saturday evening at their fire house building. They said the pies sold real well.

Jewel Lukens has been in the Siloam Springs Hospital. She had surgery a week agoand is at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab. As of now she seems to be doing good.

There was a large crowd who attended the Thanksgiving praise program at the Maysville Bible Church. They had some good singing. Steve and Susan Tucker came and took me. They talked Steve into singing a song and giving a brief talk on his and Susan’s ministry. Bro. Bill Query brought the message. It was an enjoyable evening. After the services we had food and plenty of it along with the fellowship.
