Bank announces new management team

— Decatur State Bank and its board of directors have assembled a new management team with over 177 years of combined banking experience and deeply committed to the mission and values of its banking organization - a team committed to community involvement and its homegrown roots.

Decatur State Bank is moving forward with its new team energized to provide Decatur, Gentry, Siloam Springs and surrounding communities in northwest Arkansas and northeast Oklahoma abanking experience second to none.

Mark Londagin, president and chairman of the board, is a northwest Arkansas/ northeast Oklahoma native and graduate of Oklahoma A&M and Northeastern State University. In his 32 years of banking, Mark has overseen the growth of Grand Savings Bank into one of the premier banking institutions in Oklahoma.

“Investment and reinvestment into the community pays dividends in the growth of the bank as well as thegrowth in confidence the community has in the bank,” Londagin said in a recent interview.

Elaine Gardner, the chief financial officer at Grand Savings Bank, is a new member of the Decatur State Bank’s board of directors. With 34 years of banking experience, 25 with Grand Savings Bank, Elaine brings her knowledge as internal auditor and compliance officer to the board. She’s a graduate of Oklahoma State University.

Barry Burns is the new chief operating officer at Decatur State Bank and brings with him over 33 years of banking and lending service. He is a specialist in agricultural lending, serving as senior executive vice president of credit for a major agricultural lender and holding senior management positions withother financial institutions as well. Born and raised in Siloam Springs, Barry is a graduate of Siloam Springs High School and from the University of Arkansas.

Lloyd Jones, Jr., is the new vice president and branch manager at the Bank of Siloam Springs. A lifelong resident of northwest Arkansas and growing up in a banking family, Lloyd graduated from Bentonville High School and earned an economics/finance degree from Arkansas Tech University. Jones’ banking career spans over 25 years in such banking capacities as lending and bank management.

“I am excited and blessed to be a member of this community bank and look forward to being a part of the community of Siloam Springs for many years to come,” Jones said.

Marc Burden is the new vice president and branch manager at Gentry Bank. His 21-year career in banking started with Decatur State Bank in 1990 as a bookkeeper and teller while attending the University of Arkansas. Following his graduation from the University in 1993, Burden moved into the lending department as a loan officer until his recent appointment as branch manager. He is also a graduate of the Barret School of Banking in Memphis, Tenn.

“Good customer service is the lifeblood of banking as in any business. It’s about bringing customers back ... and happy enough to pass positive feedback about our bank along to others,” Burden said.

Jim Oldham is the new senior credit officer at Decatur State Bank. Jimbrings 31 years of banking experience, 25 in senior management positions. He’s a graduate of the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in business accounting. He also taught graduate-level finance classes. A northwest Arkansas resident since 2005, Jim and his family make their home in Gentry.

Eric Brooks is the newest member of the Decatur State Bank family, serving as chief financial officer. He is a licensed certified public accountant with a bachelor’s degree and a master of accountancy degree from Missouri State University. He brings an extensive knowledge of auditing and financial statement review, plus internal-auditing-control processes and procedures to the bank.
