Saul Ellis, III

Saul Harvey Ellis III, 57, of Gentry, died Nov. 25, 2011.

He was born April 11, 1954, at Hampton, Va., to Saul Harvey Ellis, Jr., and Marie Walton Ellis. He worked for many years as a machinist and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gentry.

He is survived by his wife Julie of Gentry; son, Saul Ellis IV, of Gentry; daughter, Samantha Blevins of Bentonville; brothers, Johnny Ellis and Danny Ellis; sister, Nancy Ellis; and four grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were by Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers.

Kieth Morelan

Kieth Leon Morelan, 76, of Gentry, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, at his home in Gentry.

He was born Feb. 22, 1935, in Humboldt, Kan., to Arnold Edward and Hazel (Gilliland) Morelan. He worked in logistics for the Fina Oil Company. He married Patricia “Patti” Harris on Sept. 5, 1953, in Belton, Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country honorably during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Springtown Seventh-day Adventist Church and the NWA Area Coordinator for Adventist Disaster Response.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arnold Morelan. Jr.; and a sister, Ruth Tallman.

Survivors include his wife of the home; children, William Kieth Morelan of Siloam Springs, Penny Elaine Heimel and husband Terry of Springtown, Shawn Edward Morelan and wife Ida of Gentry; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Jake Morelan, Eagle, Mich.; and sister, Maxine Stanley, Hiawatha, Kan.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Springtown Seventh-day Adventist Church in Springtown. Cremation arrangements were by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Anna Ransom

Anna Lee Ransom, 76, of Gentry, died Nov. 24, 2011, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab in Siloam Springs.

She was born Sept. 20, 1935, in Siloam Springs, to Allen Kirby and Viola Mallory Kirby Smith. She lived in California for a few years but lived most of her life in Gentry and Siloam Springs. She was a homemaker and janitor. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include Elmo Garman of the home; two daughters, Debra Ann Wilkens and husband Brian of Siloam Springs, and Cindy Godin and husband Richard of Gentry; two sons, Randy Ransom and wife Debbie and Michael Ransom and wife Sherry, all of Gentry; stepchildren, Karen Rogers and husband Steve of Westville, Okla., Jodie Wilmoth and husband Lewis of Gentry, Steve Garman of Wrightsville, Barbara Bolin and husband Johnny of Stilwell, Okla., and Rod Garman and wife Jamie of Westville, Okla.; eight grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; numerous great- and greatgreat-grandchildren; three sisters, Kitty Lou Browning of Siloam Springs, Ina Mae Stockton and husband Sonny of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Judy Ivey and husband Jim of Gentry; and one brother, Rick Smith and wife Sue of Grove, Okla.

Funeral services were Nov. 29 at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Bruce Holland and Rod Garman officiating. Burial followed at Fairmount Cemetery, near Gentry. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home.

Dixie Spencer

Dixie Minnie Hagar Spencer, 90, of Pryor, Okla., died Nov. 22, 2011, at her home.

She was born July 18, 1921, in Delaware County, Okla., to Clarence Hagar and Ruth Sarah Collins Hagar. She married Reuben Spencer on Nov. 23, 1941. She worked as a teacher's aide with Colcord Public School for 21 years. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Floyd Hagar and Jay Hagar; and one grandson, Justin Spencer.

Survivors include one son, R.W. Spencer, Jr., and wife Jennifer of Sand Springs, Okla.; two daughters, Electa Dunn and husband Everett of Checotah, Okla., Cammy King and husband Lynn of Salina, Okla.; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Wanda Londagin and husband Jack of Tulsa, Okla.

Funeral services were Nov. 26 at Colcord Church of Christ, Colcord, Okla., with Larry Ellis and Everett Dunn officiating. Burial followed at Row Cemetery, Colcord. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Ricky Wolfinbarger

Ricky Lewis Wolfinbarger, 65, of Gravette, died Nov. 24, 2011, in Bentonville.

He was born Oct. 12, 1946, in Eureka Springs, to Vernon Cecil and Dawne Aletta (Statler) Wolfinbarger. He worked for Crossland Construction as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. He was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid gun collector and shooter and enjoyed hunting. He married Vivian Louella (Housel) Wolfinbarger on May 21, 1969.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and two step-sons, Clifford and Shawn Scates.

He is survived by two sons, Ricky Wolfinbarger and wife Shonda of Bentonville, and Vernon Wolfinbarger and wife Shawn of Rogers; stepson, Monty Scates and wife Virginia of Jane, Mo.; stepdaughter, Carla Scates and Jim Sheets of Springdale; step-son, Terry Scates and wife Terry of Rocky Comfort, Mo.; two brothers, Larry Wolfinbarger and wife Marilyn and Randy Wolfinbarger and wife Gayla, all of Eureka Springs; 20 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were Nov. 29 at the Eureka Springs Cemetery with Rick Whitley officiating. Interment followed at the Eureka Springs Cemetery. Arrangements were by Nelson Funeral Service.
