Bryan Brackney

Bryan Douglas Brackney, 39, of Grove, Okla., died Sept. 27, 2011, at his home.

He was born June 5, 1972, to Douglas and Patricia Brackney in Bentonville.

He spent most of his time at his home on the lake in Grove, at the Four Seasons Resort. He loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Grace Brackney Prelle and Ruby Wishon Scarberry; and his grandfathers, Kenneth Brackney and Junior Wishon.

He is survived by his parents of Sulphur Springs; a brother, Nelson Roberts, Jr., and wife Lynda of Sulphur Springs.

Graveside services were Oct. 1 at the Butler Creek Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, with Jheri Roberts officiating. Arrangements were by Ozark Funeral Home in Noel, Mo.

Gail Herling

Gail L. Herling, 59, died Sept. 24, 2011, at her home in Gravette.

She was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on March 25, 1952, to Loren S. and Betty J. (Howard) Lundy. She was the wife of Gary Herling for many years. She loved hunting, fishing, camping, horseback riding, four-wheeling, farming and going to concerts. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of Gravette; granddaughter Alexus Herling of Gravette; her mother, of Gravette; sisters, Sandra and Gary Lehnert of Nebraska, Lorraine and Duane Hastie ofIowa, Karen and William Dorsey of Springdale and Wendy and Dave Nelson of Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her father and a daughter, Amanda Herling.

Funeral services were Sept. 30 at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers; burial to be at a later date. Arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home.

Sylvia Pennington

Sylvia Louise Pennington, 56, of Gravette, died Sept. 28, 2011, at Circle of Life in Springdale.

She was born April 6, 1955, in Florence, Ariz., to William Thomas and Ida Rhodes Kilby. She attended Park Street Baptist Church and was a faithful woman.

Survivors include two sisters, Linda Puih of Fayetteville and Karen Kilby of Bentonville.

Memorial services were Oct. 3 at Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers. Arrangements were by Stockdale Funeral Services.

Lorraine Turner

Lorraine Kay Turner, 62, of Siloam Springs, died Sept. 27, 2011, at SiloamSprings Memorial Hospital in Siloam Springs.

She was born June 28, 1949, in Decatur, to Emery and Mildred Moots Browers. She worked at Franklin Electric and R&L Cleaning System and had been a member of the Siloam Springs Lions Club.

Survivors include her husband Bill; two daughters, Dana Mills and husband Rocky of Gentry, and Debbie McGooden and husband Shay of Siloam Springs; her mother of Siloam Springs; two brothers, including Wayne Browers of Springdale; two sisters, Cheryl Cavness of Rogers and Joyce Thompson of Decatur; eight grandchildren; anda great-grandson.

Funeral services were Sept. 30 at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Burial followed at Wedington Cemetery in Wedington. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home.
