Decatur men arrested for vehicle break-ins

— Two Decatur men were arrested shortly after midnight early Sunday in connection with breaking into two vehicles in the Ozarks Community Hospital parking lot in Gravette.

Booked at Benton County Jailwere Jimmy Don Carr, 27, 1092 W. Hwy. 102, Decatur, and Michael Patrick Wheaton Jr., 19, 703 Hidden Springs Drive, Decatur.

Gravette officer Danny Henry responded to a call from the hospital concerning suspicious action by two individuals in the parking lot.

Officers arrested the two in Decatur, where they admitted to the crime. Henry said the two were apparently only interested in finding money and at least $3.17 was recovered, he said.

Decatur officer Chuck Eggbrecht assisted in the investigation.

The two were booked at Benton County Jail on felony charges of breaking and entering and theft of property. “They were awaiting bond hearing,” Henry said.
