Jana Barrett

Jana Janeen Barrett, 47, of Gentry, died Oct. 9, 2011, at her home.

She was born Feb. 18, 1964, in Gravette, to Miron “Shorty” Guthrie and Edna Drennan Guthrie. She was a lifelong resident of northwest Arkansas and worked as a claims administrator for the Walmart Corporation. She married Michael Barrett, Sept. 4, 1983, in Decatur. She was of the Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Barrett of the home; one daughter, Jennifer Barrett of Gentry; one son, Steven Barrett of Gentry; two sisters, Vickie Snow and husband Mike of Pocahontas, and Kim Jarnagan and husband Barry of Gentry; two brothers, Kent Miron Guthrie and Terry Guthrie, both of Decatur; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were Oct. 13 at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, with Tim Estes officiating. Burial followed at the Gentry Cemetery in Gentry. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Rachel Casey

Rachel Luveta Casey, 88, of Gentry, died Oct. 16, 2011, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab in Siloam Springs.

She was born June 30, 1923, in Porum, Okla., to R.A. Willis and Alice Almeda Nicholson Willis. She married Virgil Casey on June 24, 1942, in Anadarko, Okla. She was a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Gentry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Allen Casey and wife Kathy of Gentry, Charles Lee Casey and wife Betty of Centerton, Donald Wayne Casey and wife Dawn of Anniston, Ala.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jewell Jarrell of Stratford, Okla., and Faye Cook of Ada, Okla.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, at Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Gentry, with Dennis Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Southwest City Cemetery, Southwest City, Mo. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home.

James Gardner

“Kenneth” James Gardner, 25, of Siloam Springs, died Oct. 10, 2011, on U.S. 412 in Washington County.

He was born Jan. 11, 1986, in Tulsa, Okla., to Steven Wade and Catherine Anne Burtch Gardner. He worked as a truck shop equipment operator for Simmons Foods in Siloam Springs. He loved to hunt, fish, ride fourwheelers and spend time with his daughter.

Survivors include parents, of Colcord, Okla.; four sisters, Amy Jackson and husband David of Gravette, Emily Gardner of Fayetteville, Lara Gardner of Dallas, Texas, and Martha Gardner of Fayetteville; one daughter, Natalee Marie Gardner of Siloam Springs; and his maternal grandmother, Faye Burtch of Bartlesville, Okla.

Funeral services were Oct. 14, 2011, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Wil Gardner and Nick Braschler officiating. Burial followed at the Gardner Family Cemetery. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home.

David Donald Jones, 78, of Gravette, died Oct. 11, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale.

He was born Sept. 17, 1933, in Benton County, to Eli Jones and Bessie M. Wood Jones. He graduated from Decatur High School and was a lifelong resident of Benton County. He was an Army and Air Force veteran and was employed by Peterson Industries until his retirement.

Graveside services were held Oct. 14 at Falling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, with Lonnie Witt officiating. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Helen Mayhall

Helen Jean Mayhall, 79, of Decatur, died Oct. 13, 2011.

She was born March 12, 1932, in Decatur to Charles Raymond Peterson and Opal Peterson Lamb. She married Carl Mayhall Aug. 3, 1957. She worked for Peterson Industries and Decatur State Bank. She was a member of the Decatur Assembly of God and enjoyed reading her Bible.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Billie Ray Peterson; and one sister, Anita Peterson.

Survivors include two half sisters, Deanna Sue Lloyd, and Dorothy Jean Yadon and her husband Charles, all of Muskogee, Okla.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19, at First Assembly of God Church in Decatur, with Kirk Anderson officiating. Visitation will be at 1 p.m., prior to services. Burial will be at the Decatur Cemetery in Decatur. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
