Council to consider water billing

— Gravette City Council at its regular meeting Thursday, Oct. 27, will discuss a new water billing ordinance, will discuss rate structure of Water West agricultural users and will receive a draft of the 2012 proposed city budget.

Also at the meeting, scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Gravette Civic Center, the council may take action to fill a vacancy on the citycouncil, a position held by the late Bill Howard in Ward 3.

Anyone who lives in the ward east of Highway 59 and north of Main Street and who may be interested in serving in the position should submithis or her request to be considered, along with resume-type information, to city hall as soon as possible.

The council is also expected to approve continuing the five-mill city property tax.
