LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Editor,

I would like to let you know about an upcoming event taking place Nov. 1 to Dec. 1. We, at Turning Point Fellowship, will be collecting new unused toys for our toy giveaway called Gifted, Giving Back to Children in Need. This will be for the Siloam Springs and Gentry Community to help those children that would not otherwise have a Christmas.

This drive is different from any other drive out there because we are getting the local kids involved in giving back. We haveteamed up with the Gentry Middle School and High School and they will help collect toys and distribute them the day of the giveaway. We like to teach our kids that it is truly better to give than to receive.

On Dec. 18, at 3 p.m., at the Gentry Fine Arts Building, we will be doing our giveaway. This will not be your average giveaway though. Gretta Meeker will be putting on a kid’s production like no other! You can check out part of what she does at grettameekerministries.org. We are expecting a very largeturnout and would love you to be involved in this event! So please, make sure you come early to get a good seat!

If you would like to donate, you can make a toy donation at any one of these locations: Any Liberty Bank (Siloam Springs, Gentry area); Arvest in Gentry on Main St.; Dollar General in Siloam Springs and Gentry; True Value on Main St. in Gentry; any of the Gentry Schools; any United Bank Location (Springdale, Fayetteville, Rogers); and Harps in Siloam Springs.

On Nov. 26 we will be outside of the Walmart in Siloam Springs from 7 am. to 5 p.m. taking donations.

If you would like to make a monetary donation, please send it to: Turning Point Fellowship, P.O. Box 876, Gentry, AR 72734. Please mark it “Gifted.” This toy drive would not be possible without people like you giving back to the community. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Thank You! Marsha Williams
