Local Girl Scouts hold 'Mad Hatter' tea party

— Girl Scout Troop 2497 from Gravette recently sponsored a Mad Hatter Tea Party and a “Hats Off For Cancer” knitting party at the First Christian Church in Gravette.

The girls invited several ladies from the church to the tea party and following the social the group knitted hats for the Arkansas Children’s and the St. Judeshospitals. The troop also held a hat drive for knitted hats for children cancer patients. They collected 65 hats for the project, according to troop leaders Nancy Jones and Meredith Bramel.
