Gravette regularly has at least 100 kids out for football every year. Theyare split into two teams, Orange and Black, for each age group: second through fourth grades and fifth through sixth grades.

Bruce Soule, secretary for the youth football organization, said the teamsplay in an Oklahoma-Arkansas Youth Football League. Games are held every Saturday night through the month of October.

But playing in Lion Stadium is the highlight of the year, so this Saturdayevening will be the time to attend, support and have fun watching future Gravette Lions in action.

There will be barbecue dinners sold to benefit the youth program, Souls said. The dinners will includebarbecued ribs, pulledpork sandwiches, beans and fried potatoes.

“The first game starts at 5:30 p.m., “so come out early and support our young football players and cheerleaders,” Soule said.
