Gravette food pantry works to fight hunger by raffling quilt donated by Howard

— September is Hunger Action Month and the Feed My Sheep Food Pantry in Gravette is giving an opportunity to area residents to take action to fight hunger.

Due to the generosity of Betty Howard, a beautiful queen size quilt has been donated to helpwith fundraising efforts.

Tickets for a chance to win the quilt will be sold at Bank of Gravette the week of Sept. 5, Arvest Bank the week of Sept. 12, Teasley Drug the week of Sept. 19 and Austin Drug the week of Sept. 26. In addition, tickets will be sold at Marvins in Gravette on Sept. 24. Costs are $1 per ticket or six for $5. The drawing will be held in October.

According to mission director Ann Honderich, “We need the support of our community to help us take action in the fight against domestic hunger.”

Feed My Sheep Food Pantry is located at 303 3rd Ave., S.W., in Gravette, next door to Can-Do Hardware. For information, call 381-1547 or 787-6700.
