— Authorities are seeking information concerning persons who may be involved with a break-in and burglary at Teasley Drug in Gravette.

At least two male subjects were caught on store video tape during the break-in which occurred shortly before 2 a.m. last Wednesday.

According to a Gravette police department press release from Officer James Boothman, “On 8/31/2011, at approximately 2 a.m., the Gravette Police Department responded to an alarm at Teasley Drug on Hwy. 72 in Gravette. Upon arrival, officers discovered the drug store had been burglarized.”

According to Ron Teasley, pharmacist/store owner, a masked male subject threw what appeared a large brick against the rear glass door of the store. The third throw finally shattered the glass, the video showed.

It further showed a second subject entering the store. He went to the prescription department and scooped bottles of medication from several shelves.

The types of medication were not disclosed but, according to Teasley, most of the items were non-narcotic. Because the store alarm was activated, the subjects apparently were not in the building longer than two to five minutes.

According to the police release from Boothman, “Benton County Sheriff’s deputies, as well as Decatur officers, assisted searching the area for the suspects. Witnesses reported seeingtwo young males dressed in dark blue shirts and black shorts leaving the area on foot in an unknown direction.”

Other information is unavailable at this time. The investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Gravette Police Department at 787-6948.
