The circus is coming to town

— An old fashioned circus will be in Gravette this Friday, Sept. 16, under sponsorship of the Gravette Kiwanis Club, according to JayOliphant, publicity chair for the club.

There will be two performances at Pop Allum Park, the first at 5 p.m., followed by a second performance at 7 p.m.

C & M Circus is celebrating its 27th season.According to its publicity packet, it has been featured on the National Geographic Explorer series and most recently “On the Road with Circus Kids” on Nickelodeon, as well as featured in the Los Angeles Times and Arizona Highways magazine.

Persons interested may come to the park between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Friday morning to see the “big top” go up and have an opportunity to learn about the show and its animals.

Advance tickets to the 90 minute show are available at Austin Drug, Arvest Bank, Teasley Drug, Bank of Gravett, Hard Luck Cafe, All Star Pizza, El Bohemio and the City Hall, Advance tickets are $9 for adults,$6 for children ages 2-12; younger are free. On show day tickets are $7 for children and $12 for adults.

All proceeds for Kiwanis Club will be used for local projects and scholarships.
