— Where were you when 9-11 hit? I was with my husband at the VA Hospital Clinic in Fayetteville. People were wondering if we should stay in that Federal Building. In fact a few did leave.

Some people in the area were lucky enough to see some rain Saturday afternoon. I wasn’t one of them.

Mr. and Mrs. WardCarrier and I enjoyed Sunday lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier and Lamarise.

Linda Fisher was to arrive Sunday for a visit with her mother, Ruby Hight, and to help her celebrate her ? birthday.

A group of family and friends met at the Carothers home Sunday afternoon to help Tony celebrate his birthday.

Larry Keith and RubyHight are still unable to attend church. We miss them both.

Tuesday, Sept. 20, is school board election. Be sure you get out and vote.

On Saturday Karen Burns and her friend Bonnie Blevins were in Golden City, Mo., to attend the 60th anniversary party for Karen’s cousin, Walt and Lily Wirth.

On Wednesday KarenBurns and Sally Albright went out for a Chinese lunch.

Karen Burns visited this week with Charles Turner who was the former boss of Karen’s dad when he was barbering.

September 14, 1778, American diplomacy was born on this day. Ben Franklin was appointed minister plenipotentiary by the Continental Congress.
