— A paving project on Limekiln Road in Gravette was completed last week through the cooperation of the city and the Benton County Road Department.

The road bed, approximately .7 mile in length inside the city limits, is owned half by the city and half by the county. The joint resurfacing project was completed with the city purchasing the hotmix asphalt and the countyproviding the equipment and manpower to complete the work.

The two-inch hot-mix asphalt was applied over a paved base that was completed through a similar cooperative project several years ago.

Limekiln Road also extends southwest of Gravette for several miles. As part of the county road system, the segment from Gravette city limits to the Kansas City Southern track was also paved by the county and property owners several years ago.
