GRAVETTE — The monthly meeting of the Jolly Good Times Club was held Wednesday, Aug. 24, at the Billy V. Hall Senior Citizens Center with three members and two guests present.
The meeting opened with the pledge of allegiance to the flag and vice-president Susan Holland read the devotion, “The Bend in the Road” by Helen Steiner Rice. The members sang “You Are My Sunshine.”
Secretary Betty Howard read the minutes of the July meeting and treasurer Mary Griffin gave a financial report.
In old business, Mary reported that she had bought school supplies and turned in for the Operation Backpack program. New business included a report that the hospital was collecting winter coats for all ages.
Susan gave the program, “Learn All Your Life.”
The next meeting will be held Wednesday, Sept. 28. Betty will give the program.
