MAYSVILLE NEWS

— This weather has been great this week if we could just get some more rain. Guess we always want a little different than we get, or maybe it’s just me.

Patti King and friend Petru of Lowell visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker Saturday. Shelly Bishop came over also. They always enjoy visitors.

Jack and Sylvia Tucker went to their daughter Patti’s home last Sunday. They had a cookout and lots of other good food. Others attending were Stacy and Kevin Warren of Fayetteville, Sammi Sappington and friend Wesley Story of Minnesota, Ron and Debbie Sims, Jake and Shelly Bishop, Les and Jean Martindale and several other friends. They report a good day of food and visiting.

It was good to have visitors at the Maysville Bible Church Sunday morning, Marvin Hughes, SethHughes and family. Hope they will come back. We always extend a welcome.

David and Beverly Maxwell had their son and granddaughter at church with them Sunday morning.

Sunday was my family reunion, the Vandiver family, at the Decatur community building. We had some cousins from Colorado and California here. They had to leave for home Monday morning. We also had family members from Pineville, Mo., Elm Springs, Centerton, Bentonville, Bella Vista, Siloam Springs, Rogers, Springdale, Fayetteville, Broken Arrow, Okla., Decatur and Gravette. We enjoyed the day.Won’t see some of these folks until about this time next year. There was lots of good food and picture taking.

Christi Wardlaw of Little Rock visited her mother, Orpha Wardlaw, Labor Day weekend. Shehad to return home later in the week.

Steve and Susan Tucker of Bella Vista and Sheldon Tucker of New York City visited me one evening last week while Sheldon was home for a few days. We went over and visited Gary and Helen Chism for awhile. Tracy Warren and Skyler came over for a while too. We had a good evening. It’s so good to see Sheldon. He had to fly out Sunday to go back home. We received word he had landed safely and was on his way to his apartment. Glad he made the trip safely.

Shelly Bishop visited her grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, one day last week. They always enjoy her coming over.

There was a fellowship dinner at the Maysville Bible Church Sunday. No services Sunday evening when they have the noon dinner. There was plenty of good food and fellowship.
