'Ride for Joplin' event set for Saturday

Benefit ride culminates at Ozarks Community Hospital in Gravette

— Ozarks Community Hospitals in Missouri and Gravette are planning a “Ride For Joplin” this Saturday, Sept. 17, to raise funds for Joplin schools which were damaged in the monster tornado last May.

The ride will originateat OCH in Springfield Saturday morning and will end at OCH in Gravette for an outdoor picnic lunch.

Motorcycles and all other motor vehicles are welcome to participate, with registration starting at 9 a.m. The group rides out at 9:30. Call 344-6464 for information.

“Even if you don’t startthe ride in Springfield, we hope you’ll come and enjoy the picnic lunch with us on the hospital grounds,” said Morgan Black, OCH-Gravette communications coordinator.

The Bank of Gravett and Arvest Bank will be grilling the lunch which will be available for any and all to enjoy, with proceeds going to the “Ride For Joplin” fund.
