MAYSVILLE NEWS

We sure did get good rain this weekend. I think it covered a wide area. I know the farmers are glad to see it for pastures and their ponds.

Maysville E.H. Club members, remember this Thursday is club day at the community center. Orpha Wardlaw is hostess for the lunch. Jewel Crawley has the lesson and Gwen Singleton the cultural art. Anyone can give a helpful hint. See you all there.

I didn’t make it to church Sunday morning but I hear we had some visitors which we welcome. We hope they will come back.

Amanda Jones and family were visitors last Sunday at the Maysville Bible Church. We hope they will all come back.

Jack and Sylvia Tucker and I went to Lowell Wednesday morning to Vanzant Orchard and Produce to get some grapes and Jonathan apples.

A large crowd attended the meeting at the community building Tuesday, Sept. 13. They were interested in keeping the post office open in Maysville. I sure hope it does not get closed. It is needed here because of the distance to the closest post office.

Shelley Bishop visited her grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, one day last week.

Aaron Roberts and his sister Nichole visited church at Maysville Bible Church. Aaron played the piano for us. We welcome all of our visitors and hope they will all come back.

Karen Shook and husband were at church along with other visitors, Betty (Roberts) Regden and Marcia and Jerry Bob’s grandson Tyler Pritchard. It’s really good to have them all there.
