Clothing sought for fire victims

— The Decatur Fire Department is collecting clothing and furniture for a Maysville family that lost everything in a house fire Sunday.

The home of Kent and Debbie Farmer and their two teenage daughters - located between Maysville and Jay, Okla. - was a complete loss, according to Decatur Fire Chief David Flynt. Kent is employed by Simmons Foods in Decatur, he said.

The goal is to meet the family’s immediate needs and help them get back on their feet, Flynt said.The family is in need of clothing in the following sizes:

◊Men’s shirts size large; pants size 34-36 and shoes size 10.

◊Women’s shirts size large, pants size 12-13 and shoes size 9.5.

◊Women’s shirts size small, pants size 3-4 and shoes size 7.5 to 8.

◊Women’s shirts size medium, pants size 9 and shoe size 10.

Donations can be dropped off at the Decatur Fire Station. The fire department can also arrange for pick-up and hauling of furniture or appliances.
