There was a fair turnout of voters in last Tuesday’s school board election. Susan Santos is the new board member.

Word has been received here that Mae Kilgore is back in the hospital at Siloam Springs and not doing very well.

Amy Brooks fixed birthday lunch for her husband Tom on Sunday. Others helping him celebrate were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, Mike and Gabe Carrier, Lofty and Lamarise Carrier, Eric Coscia and myself.

Last weekend Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton visited his sister in Tulsa and helped her with some chores. Dean Fletcher accompanied them as far as Owasso, Okla., where he enjoyed visiting with a cousin.

Saturday night Robert and Geneva Hamilton went to Wyandotte, Okla., to see their grandson Beau play ball.

Alex Bertschy from Michigan visited over the weekend with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Bertschy, and celebrated his 22nd birthday with them Saturday evening.

Novella Carlton spent Saturday and Sunday in Bentonville watching her grandson Jake play ball. His team won both games.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hill recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Congratulations!

Phyllis Edgmon Burnett is home from the hospital following a mild stroke. Her sister Wilma is spending some time with her.

Sept. 28, 1892, the first night football game was played in Mansfield, Pennsylvania.
