MAYSVILLE NEWS

— We are sure having summer weather early. We got a good rain but could use more.

I enjoyed a good visit with Eula Evans on Tuesday afternoon.

Sunrise service will be at the Baptist Church at 7 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 8. Everyone is invited to attend. There will be no evening services.

Sylvia Tucker visited Johnnie Mae Marshall one afternoon last week.

A family named Beaty had a wedding at the community building on Saturday. They used the building Thursday, Friday and Saturday, two days to get it ready. I hope everything went well.

The Maysville E.H. Club has a fundraiser planned for April 14 at the community building. We will have a bean supper, homemade pies for sale and a cake walk. Cost for the bean supper is a donation in the jar. Mark your calendar, come and enjoy the fun.

Jack and Sylvia Tucker went to a cookout at Ron and Debbie Sims’ home on Saturday evening. Their daughter, Patti King of Lowell, was there also.

The club is no longer taking bids on mowing the community building grounds. They have hired a mower for this summer.

Anyone wanting use of the community building should contact Sylvia Tucker at 291-4542 or Melinda Crawley at 291-0011.

Tracy Warren came over for a while Sunday afternoon. She and Byron had been out at the Maysville Cemetery cleaning graves and stones.
