— Rodney Cobb

Rodney Carl Cobb, 57, of Gentry, died March 29, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville.

He was born May 28, 1954, in San Diego, Calif., to Burdell Cobb and Melva Bostain Cobb. He moved to Gentry as a child and continued to live there. He was a professional truck driver, a member of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Bentonville, and was an accomplished pianist and loved music. He married Lois Whitaker in Gentry on Sept. 2, 1994.

Survivors include his wife Lois of the home; his parents, of Springdale; three stepsons, Preston Williams of Shawnee, Kan., Steven Williams of Decatur, and Tim Williams of Harrison; two brothers, Steve Cobb and wife Martha of Henrietta, Okla., and Don Cobb and wife Reba of Springdale; and three step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were April 2 at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, with Dennis Taylor officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Troy Ennis

Troy Randall Ennis, 61, of Siloam Springs, died March 28, 2012, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 6, 1950, in Stockton, Calif., to James Ennis and Mae Reaves Ennis. He lived most of his life in the northwest Arkansas area and was a graduate of Gentry High School. He was a machinist for Franklin Electric until his retirement. He married Patricia Glenn in Dripping Springs, Okla., on May 27, 1972. He was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Siloam Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister-in-law, Joye Ennis.

Survivors include his wife Patty of the home; two sons, Jason Ennis of Jane, Mo., and Justin Ennis of Siloam Springs; one brother, Jim Ennis of Decatur; two sisters, Patricia Williamson and husband Gary, and Janet Ward and husband Tom, all of Siloam Springs.

Funeral services were March 31 at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Siloam Springs, with Chip Reagan officiating. Burial followed at Johnson Cemetery, West Siloam Springs, Okla. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Elsie Farley

Elsie L. Farley, 87, of Siloam Springs, died March 25, 2012, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 11, 1924, in Port Jervis, N.Y., to Earl Lewis Travis and Alfreda Simpson Travis. She was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Siloam Springs, and was a homemaker.

Survivors include three sons, Ron Maines of Rogers, Alan Maines of Springdale, and Ted Maines of Ladonia, Tex.; one daughter, Diana Summers of Colcord, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren.

Memorial services were March 29 at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Alan Maines officiating. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Mary Jaye

Mary Elizabeth Tinnin Jaye, 99, died March 20, 2012, at Washington Regional Hospice in Fayetteville.

She was born on June 30, 1912, in Maysville, to Grover Cleveland and Ida Mae Wetzel Tinnin. She was raised on her family farm in Maysville. She graduated from Gravette High School in Gravette, and continued her education, spending two years at Park College in Kansas City, Mo., then earning her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, in 1938. She earned a master’s degree at Columbia University, New York, N.Y., and was awarded a scholarship to Oxford University in England. She authored an elementary school textbook, “Making Music Your Own,” and was a poet. She taught kindergarten in the South Orange-Maplewood, N.J., school system for 33 years. She was an instructor at Seton Hall University. She married Emanuel Jaye on July 5, 1959.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Manny; her parents; and her brother, James Preston Tinnin.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Maysville Cemetery in Maysville, with local and cremation arrangements handled by Moore’s Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville.

Dorothy Mae Peterson

Dorothy Mae Peterson, 89, of Decatur, died March 31, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

She was born Oct. 9, 1922, in Decatur, to George Elmer Peterson and Harriet Ellen Beal Peterson. She was a retired accountant with Peterson Industries and was a member of First Baptist Church in Decatur and of the Decatur Alumni Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and by two brothers, Charles Raymond Peterson and Lloyd Earnest Peterson.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, April 5, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery in Decatur.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, at Wasson Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home.

Deborah Murray-Scheliff

Deborah Ann Murray-Scheliff, 38, of Gravette, died March 26, 2012, in Gravette.

She was born on Oct. 15, 1973, in Conway, to Carl Dean Murray and Ada Easley Murray. She was baptized at the First Christian Church in Hiwasse.

She is survived by her parents, Carl and Ada Murray of Gravette; husband, Joel Scheliff of Fayetteville; brother, Kevin Murray of Gravette; and two sisters, Margaret Blowers of Gravette, and Elizabeth Swartz of Clinton.

A family gathering was held March 29 at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel in Bella Vista. Arrangements were by Bella Vista Funeral Home.
