Police department to accept unwanted meds on April 28

— On Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Gravette Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.

Medications for disposalshould be brought to the Gravette Police Department at 606 First Ave., SE.

This service is free and persons may remain anonymous, no questions asked.

This is the only time the Gravette Police Department will take in the unwanted prescriptions or over-the-counter drugs.

The department participates in the program twice a year and will not accept unwanted medications except on those dates.
