HIWASSE — Former Hiwasse resident Vera Crockett passed away last week. At one time the Crockett family were well known in the area, having lived here several years.
Saturday night was prom night for the area schools. Hope everyone had a safe, fun night.
Paula and Amy fixed me a delicious birthday lunch on Sunday. Others helping me celebrate were Ward, Tom, Mike, Gabe, Brian, Diane, Lofty, DaleLynn and Trevor and Emily Blevins.
The Nazarene Church at Hiwasse gave its annual reports on Sunday, followed by a cooperative dinner which was enjoyed by all.
Reese Hamilton went with her great-aunt Donna Fletcher to Fayetteville on Sunday to see the play, “Mary Poppins.”
Looks like the return to winter this week has kept people inside and not doing anything newsworthy, at least nothing they are telling.
