DECATUR — This year’s Decatur Barbecue festivities will include helicopter rides provided by Arkansas Helicopters of Springdale.
The helicopter company will also hold a golf ball drop as a fundraiser for the Decatur High School athletics program. Golf balls are available for $5 each, and the lucky person whose ball lands closest to the flag pole will win $500.
Helicopter rides will cost $25 per person and will be available starting at 10 a.m.
The ball drop will be held around 8 p.m., and all proceeds will benefit the Decatur Athletic Department. Golf balls are currently available for purchase at city hall and will also be sold on the day of the Barbecue.
