Woman collides her SUV into parked antique train

— A Missouri woman lost control of her sports utility vehicle and ran off the road, jumped the curb and crashed into Decatur’s antique Southern Belle engine on Saturday.

Lucky Rickman of Goodman, Mo., said she was driving south on Arkansas Highway 59, when she drove off the road and struck the engine which is on display alongside the highway in downtown Decatur, according to a report from the Decatur Police Department.

Rickman told police she was following the speed limit and didn’t know why she lost control of her vehicle.

According to the report, Rickman’s back tires came to rest on an 18-inch-tall curb, while the nose of the vehicle was wedged against the train engine several feet off the ground.

On Monday, only a slight dent and some scuff marks could be observed on the side of the engine. However, police chief Terry Luker said the damage to Rickman’s SUV appeared to be extensive.

Rickman was not injured in the accident, according to the report.
