Teachers inspired by speaker

— Teachers in Decatur heard an uplifting message on Friday from inspirational speaker Paul Vitale of Vital Communications in Russellville to help prepare them for the new school year.

Vitale challenged teachers to maximize their potential to the fullest and spoke about the importance of a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and other vital concepts, according to a press release from his company.

All of the teachers in the district attended the 6-hour presentation, including a lunch, for amotivational ending to a full week of professional development.

“I knew by his reputation that Mr. Vitale would deliver a great professional development day, but I was especially impressed at how well he was able to get teachers to open up and share in the experience. From the feedback I received by my staff, it was a great day,” said high school principal Debra Coffer.

Vitale has spoken for a long and diverse list of clients according to his biography, including ESPN, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, NFL football teams such as the Minnesota Vikings, along with a number of majorcompanies and educational institutions.

Vitale is the author of three books and several curriculums. He has alsoappeared on NBC, ABC and FOX, and is a regular guest on talk shows sharing his insights and life strategies, his biography states.
