— Live Christmas music on Main Street in Decatur will help residents get in the Christmas spirit this month.

The Decatur Chamber of Commerce will be holding Christmas Shows outdoors, in the General Store parking lot, from 6 to 8 p.m., on Dec. 15 and 22.

The shows, organized by Decatur school superintendent Larry Ben and his wife Dana Ben, will feature live music in a variety of styles, as well as hot chocolate and coffee.

They will be held in the Decatur General Store parking lot to help drawattention and generate awareness of the community for those driving along Arkansas Highway 59, Ben said.

Local musician groups “Doug, Willie and the Heavenly Rest,” and “Charles George and Mark Bunce” are scheduled to perform on Dec. 15.

The Roughton Family, the Essary Family, and Kaylin Cripps will be performing on Dec. 22.

In case of inclement weather, the Dec. 15 show will be moved to the Community Building and the Dec. 22 show will be moved to the High School.
