We wish everyone a very merry and safe Christmas.

Sue Habermehl spent some time in the hospital this week after suffering a heart attack. We hope she is home and soon feeling much better.

John Cox suffered a fractured elbow in an accident at his home this week. Get well, John.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton and grandchildren Beau and Reeseand Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Fletcher took Dean Fletcher to Catfish John’s on Friday night to help him celebrate his 88th birthday.

Those having lunch with me on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Gabe Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, DaleLynn Carrier, Trevor and Emily Blevins.

Saturday night Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Fletcher, Mr. and Mrs. Denny Fletcher, their daughter Heather and granddaughter Tiffany, Mr. and Mrs.

Clarence Fletcher, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton and Dean Fletcher met at Famous Dave’s for a supper and a family gathering.

Beau and Reese Hamilton spent Friday night with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton.

John Lowe visited with Ruby Hight on Sunday afternoon.

Dec. 19, 1843, the classic story, “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens, went on sale in England.
