Students design Christmas cards

GRAVETTE — Christmas cards designed by Gravette school art students received wide distribution this year because they were used as the school’s official Christmas greetings.

Students in Gravette Middle School, Upper Elementary School and Glenn Duffy ElementarySchool created designs from which a winning design was selected from each school. Lori Walker and Candace Eriksson are the district art teachers.

From among the many designs semifinalists were chosen. The administrative office of Richard Page selected the final three winners.

Full-color cards were professionally printed.They included each artist’s name on her individual card.

The winning artists, Joslyn Hendren, Aubrey Gebhart and Chloe Walker, were recognized at the recent meeting of the Gravette School Board where the girls each received several cards to share with their family. Two of the winners are pictured below, the other on Page 1A.
