GENTRY — Because the Eagle Observer had not yet received Gentry results at press time for the junior high tournament victory at Farmington due to a snow day at Gentry Schools, a photo and article from the Washington County Enterprise-Leader were used in last week's issue.
Since then, some additional results were received, with correct name spellings, for the Gentry Junior High boys’ basketball team district tournament championship on Feb. 11, defeating Farmington, 43-35.
Matt Juillerat led scoring for the Pioneers, with 13 points. Brent Barker added 9, Dustin Stoufflet had 7, Mark White had 6 and Wally Dane had 5.
The Junior High Pioneers, coached by Nick Bartmier, finished with a 19-7 record on the year and were the 2012 conference champions.
