OCH Heart Walk set for Saturday in Gravette

— There’s still time to sign up to walk in the 2012 Gravette Community Heart Walk to be held this Saturday, Feb. 25.

Sponsored by the Ozarks Community Hospital of Gravette, the walk is to raise funds in the American Heart Association’s “My Heart, My Life” project.

“Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of both men and women in Arkansas,” said Morgan Black, OCH spokesperson. “The walk is designed to promote physical activity and hearthealthy living in an environment that’s fun for the whole family. More than a million walkers are expected to participate nationwide raising funds to save lives from this country’s No. 1 and No. 4 killers, heart disease andstroke,” she added.

The walk will be held at the Gravette Middle School at 10 a.m. Teams of five and individuals may register by calling Black at 344-6464. Team registration is $50, individuals $15.
