Jim Singleton, president of Arvest Bank in Gravette, won the annual Eagle Observer football contest in competition with other contest sponsors. Presenting the check and trophy was Sherry DuBois, ad rep for the newspaper.
Arvest outscored five other sponsors: Teasley Drug, Bank of Gravett, Austin Drug and Marvin's, all of Gravette, and Smith Drug of Gentry. Singleton said the $780 prize will be donated to a local community organization.
