(Editor's Note: From week after Christmas)

Last Thursday was the first day of winter. Have you noticed the days getting any longer yet?

May the New Year be good to each of you. If you go out celebrating Saturday night do it safely.

Lamarise Henry and Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier were in Bella Vista at the home of Mrs. Sam Swatzell for Christmas dinner on Saturday.

Children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren gathered at the Leon Carothers home Saturday evening to enjoy Christmas dinner with him.

Mr. and Mrs. John Cox andfamily had Christmas dinner with Ellie’s brother and other family members.

The Keith family enjoyed Christmas dinner Saturday night with Paula Hutchenson in Bentonville.

Those having dinner with me on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier, Lamarise Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brooks, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, Mike Carrier, Gabe Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier. My son Wade called as we were eating and my grandson Skylar called his parents while everyone was here together.

There is still a lot of sickness in the area. Let’s keep all the sick folks in our prayers.

It was good to see Mitch Rogers home in the areaand at church Sunday morning. He reports that Michael and Marty are both holding their own but his sister is in the hospital with pneumonia.

Mr. and Mrs. Rip Austin and children had dinner with Pam Bertschy on Sunday.

Marlo Hamilton is home for a few days and along with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Paul Hamilton and Dean Fletcher enjoyed Christmas dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton.

Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier and Lamarise visited with Mr. and Mrs. Dale Henry Sunday afternoon.

Making New Year’s resolutions - Keep it simple. Settle on one or two things you can really accomplish.
