Decatur Colors Day

Decatur High School Basketball Colors Day festivities will be held on Jan. 20 in the Lloyd Peterson Gym. Coronation will be held before the boys’ and girls’ games against Hackett which are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

History Book Workshop

The Sulphur Springs Community Museum Commission is hosting a History Book Vol. II Workshop at 6:30 p.m., Jan. 14, in the old school cafeteria. The workshop will assist residents in writing their family, military or business (old or new) histories.

Gravette CPR Class

A CPR class will be offered in the Gravette area Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Gravette Civic Center. The class will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is a $40 charge and those interested were to register at the city hall, 787-5368, by Jan. 9.

Financial Awareness

Gravette Public Libraryand the GHS Parental Involvement Committee are co-hosting a financial awareness night at the library from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23. Speakers Rob Teis and Aaron Randall will discuss credit recovery, tax questions, budgeting and general financial information. For more information, call 787-6955 or 787-4193.

Baby Shower Planned

A “bring-a-book” baby shower will honor Caroline Hall Martinez, Sunday, Jan. 15, at 2 p.m. in the Bank of Gravett Community Room. Caroline is registered at Target and Walmart. The event is hosted by Bethany Coffey,Amanda Elsea and Lindsey Watford who invite you to “bring a favorite storybook to help build baby’s library.”
