DECATUR — A pickup truck was stolen from a Decatur parking lot during the late hours of Jan. 4.

A 2000 red Dodge extended cab truck, owned by Joe Middleton of Gentry, was taken from the Simmons Foods Live Haul Department parking lot in Decatur between the hours of 8 p.m., Jan 4, and 2 a.m., Jan. 5, according to Decatur police chief Terry Luker.

The keys were in the truck when it was stolen. Luker emphasized that taking keys out of the vehicle and locking the doors is a good way to prevent theft.

The truck has yet to be recovered. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call the Decatur Police Department at 752-3911.
