Arkansas Tech fall dean’s list includes local students

RUSSELLVILLE — Mary Esther Jordan of Gentry, and Claire Amanda Elizabeth Betts, Tera Rachelle Cloud, Jacob David Gillespie and Julie LeAnn May of Gravette, were listed on the Arkansas Tech University dean’s list for thefall 2011 semester for undergraduate students on the main campus in Russellville.

Jordon and May each had a 4.0 grade point average for the semester.

A student must achieve a 3.5 GPA or higher and complete at least 12 semester hours to be named to the dean’s list.A total of 1,624 Arkansas Tech students achieved that distinction during fall 2011, an increase of 4.8 percent over fall 2010 and an increase of 8.3 percent over fall 2009. Included among the fall 2011 dean’s list members are 578 students who achieved a 4.0 grade point average.
