Springtown has short agenda

— Passing a resolution for revision of the 2011 budget for Springtown was the main order of business at the January town council meeting last Tuesday night.

Jan Cox, town clerk, reported the first part of the grant money for the Flint Creek Bridge project was received and paid out in December. The budget needs to be revised to show the addition of this money in the 2011 budget, she said.

In other business, cityattorney Carla Wasson reported that a landowner in town had submitted a request to have the alleyway abutting his property closed. A resolution was passed to set the hearing for this proposal at the regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. on March 13.

Amanda Richardson, chairperson of the park committee, reported that the flag she ordered had been received.

Mayor Paul Lemke said he hoped to hear something by March about the proposal that was submitted for the town hall project.
