Gentry warrant arrest leads to prescription drug charges

— A July 4 outstanding warrant arrest at the Freedom Festival in Gentry City Park led to additional drug charges being sought.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, Gentry police arrested Alexander Delosie, 19, of Gravette, at the Gentry City Park on July 4 on an outstanding warrant.

In a search, incident to arrest, Gentry police discovered Delosie to be in possession of what appeared to be prescription narcotics in a bottle with another person’s name on the prescriptionbottle. According to the affidavit, police believe the pills to be morphine and have sent them to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for analysis.

Delosie was transported to the Benton County Jail, where he was held, pending a bond hearing, and has since been released.
