— 49er, Tippy and I would like to thank our neighbors for keeping our neighborhood relatively quiet and safe over the Fourth, 49er for the distress of the noise, Tippy because she didn’t have to try to calm him down and me because of the fire danger in this extreme drought.

Please check your mailboxes and paper tubes for wasp nests and if you find one destroy it. Your carrier might be highly allergic to stings.

Northwest Arkansas is very thankful for the rain it received Saturday although it was very spotty and completely missed some areas.

Those having lunch with me on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier, Emily Belvins, Mr. and Mrs.Ward Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brooks, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier and Gabe Carrier.

On the Fourth, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton and Dean Fletcher visited in Oklahoma with Robert’s brother. They are as dry there as we are, so no fireworks.
