— We received a little shower of rain Sunday afternoon, not much but more than we have had for quite some time. Maybe we will get more.

Orpha Wardlaw returned home last week from a trip to Lake Tahoe with two of her daughters, Christi Wardlaw of Little Rock, Ellen Harris and husband Steve of Ponca City, Okla., and her sister and husband, Paul and Jo Pettigrew. There might have been a cousin or two. Orpha said they really had a good trip and enjoyed the time together.

Clifton and Judy Tucker and their 3-year-old grandson Tyler visited me last Sunday. I sure did enjoy them. They took Tyler tothe creek down by Yeargin and they all enjoyed that. Tyler sure liked playing in the creek and looking for fish.

David and Betty Jean Tucker visited me a couple of hours one day last week. We had a good visit. They had been here for the camp meeting at the Gravette Holiness Church.

Sylvia Tucker visited Dan and Johnnie Mae Marshall one afternoon last week. They always enjoy a good visit.

Donnie and Eula Evans came after me on Saturday and we attended the wedding of Katie Evans and Derek Green. It was outside out on Mt. Olive Road. A real nice wedding with a large crowd and lots of food, cake and punch. We all enjoyed it.

Orpha Wardlaw has her granddaughter Selena Fincher of Tulsa here to spend some time with her. She is the daughter of Steve and Eva Rea (Wardlaw ) Fincher. Her brother Zack has already had his turn with Grandma. Orpha sure does enjoy them.

Eva Rea (Wardlaw) Fincher of Tulsa visited her mother, Orpha Wardlaw, on Saturday. She brought Selena over to spend some timewith Orpha and returned home Saturday afternoon. Orpha and Selena attended the wedding of Katie Evans and Derek Green.

Our pastor at Maysville Bible Church, Jim Whisenant, was able to be here Sunday and we had a potluck meal after morning service. He has been in the hospital. We were glad he and his wife Barbara were there. They are anxious to get moved intothe church parsonage. We are also anxious for them to get in it.

Jack and Sylvia Tucker and I went to Vanzant Orchard at Lowell last Saturday and got some peaches. They have a big crop of all fruits.
