NORTHWEST ARKANSAS — Donnie Shook, son of the late John and Francis Shook, and Shirley Setser, daughter of Jeweldine Williams of Gentry and the late Kenneth Setser, were married in Stillwell, Okla., on July 16, 1962.

They have two children: Tami Hopkins and husband Rob of Decatur, and Kevin Shook and wife Kristie of Gentry. They have four grandchildren, Brent Hopkins and wife Sara of Decatur, Megan Oaks and husband Brandon of Decatur, Kaleb Shook and KinzieShook of Gentry. There are now three great-grandchildren, Morgan and Gage Hopkins and Owen Oaks.

Donnie and Shirley have lived in the Gentry area since marrying. They have operated Shook’s Used Cars for 50 years as well.

There will be a reception in their honor at Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Gentry from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 28th. Friends and family are invited to come and share cake, punch and memories.
