Two board posts up for election

GRAVETTE — Voters in Gravette School District 20 will elect two members to the Board of Education in the annualschool election. Both positions are for five-year terms.

For Position No. 1, Jay Oliphant and Jheri Roberts have filed for that position. Both are Gravette residents. Theyare seeking the position presently held by Jim Hendren, who did not file for re-election.

Jack Skillett of Bella Vista, who presently holds the No. 2 position, has filed for re-election to histhird five-year term. He is unopposed.

Voters must register by August 20 to be eligible to cast ballots in the election, which is scheduled for Sept. 18. Early voting will begin Sept. 11.
